Please read this Privacy Policy carefully so that you understand our information practices. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services.

Table of Contents

1. Personal Data

1-1. Registration & Profile Information

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “personal data” means personally identifiable information that specifically identifies you as an individual. We collect information, including personal data, in two main ways: (1) when you provide it directly to us, and (2) when we collect it passively from your browser or device as you use the Services. This includes, but is not limited to, when you:

  • register for Services, contests and special events;
  • access Services using a third-party account;
  • subscribe to newsletters;
  • purchase a product or services through TapBlaze’s online stores;
  • use “tell a friend,” “email this page,” or other similar features;
  • request technical support or other customer service; and
  • otherwise through your use of the Services when your information is required for use and/or participation.

The types of information may vary depending on the type of activity you are engaged in.

Information You Provide to Us: TapBlaze may collect, process and use information you provide to us, which may include personal data. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Contact information, such as your name, email address, phone number;

  • Correspondence between you and us and records of such correspondence, such as the contents of emails you send us, support inquiries, or other feedback you provide directly to us;
  • Information you provide in product reviews and surveys.

1-2. TAPBLAZE ID

Some games allow players to restore their progress by using their email to register for a TapBlaze ID. TapBlaze only permits the creation of a TapBlaze ID in games with age gates when the user has identified as 16 years of age or older. We use your email address ONLY for retrieving your game progress and for no other purpose. In addition, all email addresses are hashed. If you no longer want to have your email associated with a TapBlaze ID for game progress saving, please contact us here and your progress and email will be deleted within 72 hours. Please mention "TAPBLAZE ID Deletion" in your email subject.

We keep data collected for the TapBlaze ID until the user’s de-registration from the Services or inactivity of 2 years.

1-3. Use of Your Information and Legal Grounds

TapBlaze may use your information for purposes of analyzing usage of the Services, providing customer and technical support, managing and providing Services (including managing advertisement serving) and to further develop the Services and other products. TapBlaze may combine non-personal data with personal data.

TapBlaze also may use your personal data to send messages to you with informative and/or commercial content about TapBlaze’s services or third party products and services TapBlaze thinks may be of interest to you, such as push notifications and newsletters for the players with TapBlaze ID who are 16 years of age or over, that could involve third party services.

We use your information for the following purposes and based on the following legal grounds:

  • To enter into and execute an agreement with you as set forth in our Terms and Conditions:
    • - For account registration purposes; and
    • - To provide and operate the Services.
  • For the purposes of our legitimate business interests:
    • - To respond to your requests, complaints and communications, to verify your identity, to process your transactions, to provide technical support and troubleshooting, and for other customer service purposes, including to facilitate account recovery and process account deletion requests;
    • - To send non-marketing communications such as technical issues or bug fixes;

    • - For player identification, fraud prevention, and detection of improper usage;

    • - To determine, exercise or defend our legal position and rights.
  • To comply with our legal obligations:
    • - Where required by law or legal process; and
    • - To comply with a binding request.

2. Non-Personal Data

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “non-personal data” means information that does not directly identify you. Additionally, non-personal data means “aggregate” and “de-personalized” information, which is data TapBlaze collects about your use of TapBlaze Services, from which any personally identifiable data has been removed.

TapBlaze may use tools or third-party analytical software to automatically collect and use certain non-personal data that does not directly enable TapBlaze to identify you. The types of non-personal data TapBlaze may collect and use include, but are not limited to:

  • (i) device properties (model, service provider information, OS information, language and country information);
  • (ii) device software platform and firmware;
  • (iii) mobile phone carrier;
  • (iv) general/coarse location data;
  • (v) game activity and achievements (scores, credits, access logs);
  • (vi) improper usage record and fraud detection information;
  • (vii) birthdate, gender;
  • (viii) friend connections; and
  • (ix) marketing preferences, such as records of your requests to opt out of marketing communications.

TapBlaze may use and disclose to TapBlaze’s partners and contractors the collected non-personal data for purposes of analyzing usage of the Services, serving advertisements, managing and providing the Services and to further develop the Services.

If any of the non-personal data listed above is combined with personal data (such as a name, email or other online identifier) or reidentified in a way that permits us to identify you individually, we will treat it as personal data.

3. Policy Regarding Children

TapBlaze applies special protections for the personal data of:

  • players identified as under the age of 16 through an age gate (in those games that have one), and
  • all players in games without an age gate.

TapBlaze does not collect, use, or disclose such players’ personal data for profiling, personalized advertising, or geolocation tracking. We use only limited types of personal data, such as the persistent identifiers listed in the chart below (sometimes in combination with the data described in Section 2), for the following purposes:

  • To deliver the game and access network features
  • To provide you with the products and services you request
  • To serve contextual advertising based on the content of the game you are playing (including frequency capping, fraud prevention, and attribution)
  • To maintain and analyze game functionality
  • To detect, investigate and prevent actions to ensure legal and regulatory compliance
  • To protect the security and integrity of our online services and the safety of our users

The following table sets forth, for each category of personal information we collect from children, the purpose / business need and the retention period.

Personal data Purpose/Business need Maximum retention period
Device and other persistent identifiers (device ID, IP address, advertising ID) Internal Operations: delivering the game, network communications, contextual ad frequency capping, fraud prevention, security, legal compliance Retained for the duration of an active game session or, where necessary for Internal Operations continuity (e.g., fraud detection), no longer than 18 months from last active use of the applicable game, after which identifiers are deleted or de-identified
Age indicator (under/over 16) and child-directed flag To determine appropriate experience and advertising type (contextual vs. behavioral) Retained for the life of the active game on the child’s device plus two (2) years following the last active session, or until a parent requests deletion, whichever comes first
Approximate location (country/state, from IP) To deliver contextual advertising appropriate to language and region; legal compliance Not stored by TapBlaze beyond the game session; shared in real-time with contextual ad networks as defined in this section subject to their data retention policies
Customer support communications from parents To resolve support inquiries and maintain records of parental requests Deleted promptly after fulfillment of request, unless it is reasonably necessary to retain the record to resolve the support inquiry fully. In such circumstances, TapBlaze will retain such records until the purpose for retention no longer exists or for a maximum time period of up to one (1) year from the date of the communication.

We use technical and contractual measures to limit our service providers and third parties with whom we share personal data from using such information for any other purpose. We work only with selected ad networks (defined in Ad Serving Technology section) that respect the tag-for-child-directed (TFCD) parameter—aka the ‘COPPA flag’—on a per-app or per-request basis for contextual advertising, so that interest-based advertising is switched off, and personal data collection is restricted. In addition, these ad networks are able to categorize and tag their ad creatives by age, so that the ads are appropriate content-wise.

Because we don’t collect or use the personal data of players under the age of 16 (except as set forth above), they are not able to make their personal data publicly available through our games.

If TapBlaze discovers that we have inadvertently gathered personal information from a child under 16 years of age, we will take reasonable measures to promptly delete such personal information from our records.

Please note that our customer support features are meant for players 16 years of age or older. If we receive a customer support inquiry from a player that is under the age of 16, we will delete all personal information (e.g., name, email, etc.) immediately after fulfilling the request.

We do not retain children’s personal data indefinitely.

If you are a parent or legal guardian of a child under the age of 16 who uses TapBlaze's services and have any questions or comments, please contact us at privacy@tapblaze.com. If you are a parent or guardian, you may review the information we have collected from your child or ask us to make no further use of, or delete, such information. If you believe that we might have any personal data from or about a child under the age of 16, please contact us here. We may need to verify your identity before implementing your request. If we need to verify your identity, we will only ask for the minimum information necessary to do so.

Please note that in-game advertising for users under the age of sixteen (16) are only CONTEXTUAL.

The third-party ad networks which may display contextual advertisements to users under the age sixteen (16) are listed in Appendix D.

4-2. Third Party Account Data

Registration is not required in order to use or access our Services. However, if you are aged 16 or over, you may optionally use a third-party single sign-on (SSO) service to enjoy additional features.

Please note that, if you choose to use an SSO to access our Services, certain features of the Services may be able to connect to your social networking accounts to obtain additional information about you. In such cases, TapBlaze may be able to collect certain information from your social networking profile when the social networking site permits it, and when you consent to allow your social networking account to make that information available to TapBlaze.

The personal data we collect when you login via a third-party account (such as Apple, Google or Facebook) may depend on your privacy settings for that third-party account. We don’t control how such third parties collect, use and share your personal data. You should review the relevant third-party privacy policy for more information.

This information may include, but is not limited to:

  • (i) Profile: We may collect your name, profile picture, gender, user ID, email address, country, language, time zone, the organizations and links on your profile page, the names and profile pictures of your “friends”, and other information you have included in your social networking account profile;
  • (ii) Purchases: If you make a purchase within the Services through the relevant store, we may collect and maintain your purchase history and details, however, we do not receive your credit card number;
  • (iii) Customer Service: We may collect emails, chat records, attachments and customer opinions for customer consultation, handling complaints and other business, delivering announcements, and performing customer support tasks;
  • (iv) Other Automatically Collected Info: Device Identifiers. We may collect IP information for geolocation purposes, advertising ID, or other identifiers.

We may keep third party account data for a period of up to 2 years or until the user’s de-registration from the Services, or upon receiving a data deletion request from the user.

4-3. Third Party Data Collection and Use of End-User Information

When you use or connect to a TapBlaze website or download a TapBlaze mobile application by or through a third-party platform —including Facebook—you allow us to access and/or collect certain information from your Third Party Platform profile/account.

We will share some of the information we collect from you with vendors and other service providers who work with us to support the internal operations of our website and/or mobile application.

You can opt-out of third-party ad tracking and analytics by checking the privacy settings of your Android or iOS device and turning off “Allow Apps to Request to Track” or selecting "Limit Ad Tracking" (Apple iOS) or "Opt-out of Interest Based Ads" (Android). In addition, please ensure your game settings are set to "Data Opt Out". Your choice to opt out of third party ad tracking and analytics services does not limit our ability to email you or collect other information.

Third Parties Data Sources:

See the section on “Analytics and Attribution Technology” below.

4-4. Website Log Files and Cookies

Our website utilizes industry standard analytic packages which gather limited information on visitors to our website automatically, and stores this information in server log files. This information may include IP addresses, browser type, basic IP information, referring pages, operating system used and date/time stamps, device properties (model, service provider information, OS information, language and country information), device software platform and firmware, mobile phone carrier, general geolocation data, and game activity and achievements (scores, credits, access logs, improper usage record and fraud detection information). TapBlaze also collects other information as reasonably required by TapBlaze to enhance the Services and other TapBlaze products and services such as domain name and other statistical or technical information related to your device.

4-5. Ad Serving Technology

For certain of our applications that allow users under the age of sixteen (16), TapBlaze has implemented age gates to verify the age of players. When you download our game, we collect your age as indicated by you. We provide a separate experience for users under the age sixteen (16) through which we collect limited information and serve contextual advertising only. In that experience, there will be no profiling, targeted advertising, or geolocation tracking, and we use the limited information we do collect to support our internal operations.

Mobile games and applications that are not directed to children under the age of sixteen (16) (“General Apps”) may collect a unique device ID or advertising ID (Apple Identifier for Advertisers (“IDFA”) on Apple devices and Google Advertising Identity (“GAID”) on Android devices) and combine it with information about your location and online activities across different services to infer your interests and deliver targeted advertisements that are relevant to you. If you opt out of data collection and sharing in a game, you will receive contextual advertising only.

If you click on any of these advertisements, the advertisers may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect data regarding advertisement performance, your interaction with such ads and your interests (which may include device and network information, unique identifiers, gender, age and geolocation). When you engage with our games via your mobile device, you may be able to limit targeted advertising through your device settings. Please see your device manufacturer’s instructions for more information.

Please also see the “Your Data Rights and Choices” section, below, for more information on other ways you may limit targeted advertising. Refer to Appendix D for a list of the advertising networks we have contracted with and their respective privacy policies.

4-6. Analytics and Attribution Technology

We use third-party analytics services in our games to collect and analyze usage information through cookies and similar tools; engage in auditing, research, or reporting; assist with fraud prevention; and provide certain features to you. To prevent us from using your information for analytics, you may contact us as set forth in the “Your Data Rights and Choices” section below.

To find users for some of our games, we use paid advertising. To track which ads lead to installs or in-app purchases, we partner with attribution providers.

Please see the “Your Data Rights and Choices” section, below, for information on ways you may limit analytics. Refer to Appendix D for a list of the analytics and attribution technology providers we have contracted with and their respective privacy policies.

5. Disclosure and Transfer of Your Information

TapBlaze may use third party service providers such as credit card processors, e-mail service providers, shipping agents, data analyzers and business intelligence providers. TapBlaze may disclose your information as necessary to these third parties so they can provide services for TapBlaze. TapBlaze is not liable for the acts and omissions of these third parties, except as required by law.

TapBlaze may hire agents and contractors to collect and process your information on our behalf. We require them to comply with our Privacy Policy and to use your information only for the purposes of providing services to us. They may not use your information for their own marketing.

TapBlaze may disclose your information to third parties as required by law enforcement or other government officials in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringements, or other activity that is illegal or may expose you or TapBlaze to legal liability. TapBlaze may also disclose your information to third parties when TapBlaze has a reason to believe that a disclosure is necessary to address potential or actual injury or interference with TapBlaze’s rights, property, operations, users or others who may be harmed or may suffer loss or damage, or TapBlaze believes that such disclosure is necessary to protect TapBlaze’s rights, combat fraud and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on TapBlaze.

5-1. International Data Transfer

Information we collect may be transferred to countries outside your home country for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. These countries, including but not limited to the United States may not provide the same level of data privacy protection as the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), or your home country. These transfers are essential to the provision of our Services and performance of the Terms of Service.

(1) Marketing Communications:

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails we send to you by clicking the “unsubscribe” link they contain or by contacting us here. Please note that even though you may opt-out of receiving marketing-related communications from us, we may still send you important administrative and transactional messages.

(2) Rights Regarding Your Information:

Depending on where you live, you may have the right, in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws, to make requests related to your personal data. Specifically, you may have the right to ask us to:

  • Inform you about the categories of personal data we collect or disclose about you; the categories of sources of such information; the business or commercial purpose for collecting your personal data; the categories of third parties with whom we disclose personal data; and, in certain states, like California, Minnesota, and Oregon, the specific third parties to whom we disclose personal information.

  • Restrict or object to certain uses of your information.
  • Opt you out of the processing of your personal data for purposes of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, if applicable.

Certain information may be exempt from such requests under applicable law. For example, we need certain information in order to provide the Services to you. We may also need to take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding to a request, which may include, at a minimum, depending on the sensitivity of the information you are requesting and the type of request you are making, verifying your email address. If we are unable to verify you, we may be unable to respond to your requests.

To exercise any of these rights, you can email us at privacy@tapblaze.com, visit our website here and complete the webform, or use the support option in our games to exercise your rights. See also Appendix A (for users in the U.S.) and Appendix B (for users in the EEA and UK).

In order for an authorized agent to be verified, you must provide the authorized agent with signed, written permission to make such requests or a power of attorney. We may also follow up with you to verify your identity before processing the authorized agent’s request.

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to appeal our decision to deny your request, if applicable. We will provide information about how to exercise that right in our response denying the request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

(3) Notice of Right to Opt Out of Sales of Personal Information and Processing/Sharing of Personal Information for Targeted Advertising Purposes:

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to opt out of “sales” of your information and the “sharing” of your information for targeted advertising.

As explained in the “Disclosure and Transfer of Your Information” section above, we sometimes disclose information to unaffiliated third parties we collaborate with or that provide offers that we think may be of value to you. We also provide information to third-party advertising providers for targeted advertising purposes or use analytics partners to assist us in analyzing use of our Services and our user/customer base. Under certain laws, such disclosures may be considered a “sale” of personal information or the “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising purposes.

If you would like to opt out of the disclosure of your personal information for purposes that could be considered “sales” for those third parties' own commercial purposes, or “sharing” for purposes of targeted advertising, please send an email to privacy@tapblaze.com. Note that you will need to opt out on each device you use to access the Services.

For residents in the USA and EEA/UK, please find further information in Appendix A and Appendix B, respectively.

7. Data Security and Integrity

The security, integrity, and confidentiality of your information are important to us. We have implemented reasonable physical, technical, and administrative security measures that are designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, use and modification. Please be aware though that, despite our best efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

8. Data Retention

We will retain your information for the length of time needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, usually no more than two years, unless a longer retention period is required for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, or for legitimate business purposes, or as provided by law. We set out more specific time frames for deletion in the chart below and in our written children’s data retention policy in Section 3. We take reasonable steps intended to implement technical, administrative, and physical security measures that are designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, use and modification. Please be aware though that, despite our best efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

We will, for example, periodically de-identify unused game accounts and we regularly review and de-identify unnecessary data.   • * Debugging to identify and repair errors in our Services;
  • * Performing our Services;
  • * Internal research for technological development and demonstration; or

What Personal Information We “Sell” and “Share”

We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense of exchanging it for money, but we do disclose certain limited categories of information to third parties for targeted advertising purposes, which is considered “selling” and “sharing” personal information under the CCPA. These limited categories of information include:

  • * Unique and online identifiers – IP address, device IDs, or other similar identifiers (collected from your device);
  • * Internet, gaming, or other electronic network activity information – such as browsing history, search history, and information regarding an individual’s interaction with an internet website, application, or advertisement (collected from your device); and
  • * Location information – for example, if you access our games on your mobile device our advertisers may derive information about location from your IP address.

We may disclose or permit collection of this information to/by recipients such as ad networks and other advertising partners to achieve these business purposes. This means that we may disclose the categories of personal information listed above for a business purpose.

Your Choices Regarding “Sharing” and “Selling”:

You have the right to opt out of our selling and sharing of your personal information. To opt out of the disclosure of your personal information for these purposes within a game, click the Data Opt Out option within the specific game settings menu you are using (you need to repeat this choice for each game) and follow the prompts. You may also exercise your opt-out rights by contacting privacy@tapblaze.com.

Incentive Programs

Our games may offer opportunities to receive certain services or benefits such as discounts or free or extended services (such as bonus game time or additional credits), which may require the provision, selling or sharing of personal information (each, an “Incentive Program”). When you participate in an Incentive Program, you agree to the terms of that Incentive Program, and may revoke your participation via the means we offer via the particular Incentive Program (e.g., by opting out of emails or terminating your account in our Services). To the extent we can determine the value of your information, we consider the value to you (and costs to us) of providing you with a discount or other service, as compared to the value to us in an opportunity to gain a loyal, or even more loyal, customer; we seek to reasonably relate the benefits to you to the costs to us.

Sensitive Personal Information

The CCPA also allows you to limit our use or disclosure of your “sensitive personal information” (as defined in the CCPA) if your sensitive personal information is used for certain purposes. In the limited circumstances that we process sensitive personal information as defined in the CCPA (such as usernames in combination with passwords), we do not use or disclose it other than for disclosed and permitted business purposes for which there is not a right to limit under the CCPA.
